It has been one of my Mom’s dream to try Silhouette Face Thread Lift to achieve a more lifted and youthful look. Being exposed to social media, she had come across so much about Face Thread Lift and how magical they are.

After careful consideration, she has decided to give a shot at Clifford Clinic Singapore after seeing many positive reviews. My dad and I supported the idea as we saw nothing wrong in my Mom wanting to look better and to feel confident about herself.

Unfortunately, as we age our skin loses its firmness and volume which makes the skin sag eventually as a result. A little more on Silhouette Face Thread Lift:

Silhouette Face Thread Lift is the latest less invasive face lifting aesthetical procedure widely used especially in Korea to instantly lift and eliminates sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles without surgical risks.

Using threads made of poly L-latic acid (PLLA), these threads are inserted into the face to tug your skin upwards and at the same time helps to regenerate and restore lost collagen progressively over the next 3 to 6 months to improve fine lines, facial contours, skin texture and elasticity; giving a natural reverse-aging effect!

The threads inserted have excellent bio-compatibility and they would be fully dissolved by the body thus there is no need to remove them. The lifting effect is immediate and discreet due to the compression and elevation of skin once the suture is applied.

Effect varies with individuals. Typically, it may last up for 1 to 2 years.

There is no real downtime, minimal pain and the results are visibly instant – immediate natural lift effect! You can expect slight soreness and swelling, but you should be able to resume to normal activities almost immediately.

Not to worry, there’s no knife or cutting involved in the procedure!

Entire Face Thread Life session typically takes about an hour to complete and is done under local anesthesia in a comfortable environment. Look at my Mom feeling all comfortable!

And the other side.

Fine surgical sutures were inserted into the face’s soft tissues in order to gently lift and support the sagging areas. The process helps to reduce jowl formation along the jawline, raise the outer brow area, and reduce sagging in the nasolabial folds and cheeks. A re-tightening effect will be achieved which redefines facial contours with a naturally rejuvenated look.

Threads can be used to treat different parts of the face including jaw, cheeks, cheekbones, eyebrows and even neck. Depending on the lift you desire, 1-4 Silhouette threads may be placed per area and it suits all skin types.

Okay, I was there in the room with them so I can say that the atmosphere then was pretty relaxed! It’s not as scary as it seems in the photos though!

Dr. Gerard were actually talking to me and my mom when he’s not inserting the threads.

And it’s all done! Cleaning up the marks.

Dr. Gerard suggested to put a little bit of fillers at the nasolabial folds because my Mom wished to have them instantly removed. A little bit of fillers actually helps to enhance the entire result.

And a little bit on the under-eye to get rid of my Mom’s heavy eye bags..

A big shout out to Dr. Gerard for being so professional and awesome at what he is doing. He is highly trained and has many experiences in carrying out this face thread lift procedure with proper insertion techniques. No wonder my Mom told me she felt minimal discomfort through-out the procedure. I was utterly impressed with the efficacy!

No alteration done to the photo. She looks so much refreshed and better even without any makeup now. What sorcery!!
